End to End Cycle Route
Is this the ultimate cycle route in the UK? Nick Mitchell has written a guide to the Lands End to John O’Groats route after his first traverse in 2002. He now organises and guides cyclists on this 16 day adventure which travels through Newton in Bowland and he likes to stay at Clerk Laithe Lodge!

The Forest of Bowland website has a number of of cycle routes for you to download including a circular of nearby Pendle Hill
Lancashire Cycleway
The Cycleway is National Cycle Network routes 90 & 91 and the official start is in nearby Whalley. The northern and southern routes are each about 130 miles.and take you on a journey through Lancashires varied and at times challenging terrain.

These nearby trails are well known to MTB enthusiasts with routes for all ages and grades. Download the map and information.
